The Heart Behind the Lens
Ever since I was a child, I’ve held a deep belief that while moments are fleeting, a photograph allows a memory to last a lifetime. Too often, we take the undocumented moments for granted; my mission is to ensure you can relive them forever.
My journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art Photography from NJCU, followed by advanced studies at FIT and The New School. I was privileged to apprentice under two legendary female photographers who shaped my vision:
-
Irene Fay taught me the meticulous art of fine printing. Together, we worked on gallery-quality images that graced the walls of The Guggenheim and The Whitney Museums in Manhattan.
-
Nancy Brown introduced me to the fast-paced world of high fashion photography, where I had the chance to observe the industry's greats.
Life changed beautifully at 28 when I met my husband, Jamie. Upon the birth of our first son, I realized I no longer wanted 12-hour days in the fashion world—I wanted to be present for the miracles at home. I traded the runway for motherhood, and soon our second son followed.
Naturally, my passion for photography turned toward my children. A first smile, a tiny hand, a spontaneous giggle—these were my new masterpieces. Children possess a unique, unselfconscious curiosity that allows me to capture a glimpse into their very soul. Now, as a grandmother to two beautiful boys, that passion has only deepened.
I feel incredibly lucky to spend my days capturing images that captivate the heart. I invite you to explore my work, where you will see my vision, my soul, and my commitment to preserving your family’s most precious treasures.
