Welcome Camilla: A Perfect Blend of Posed Artistry & Lifestyle Moments

There is something so special about an in-studio newborn session. It’s a controlled, cozy environment where we can truly let the baby lead the way. Recently, I had the joy of hosting sweet Camilla and her parents in the studio, and we created a gallery that captured the "best of both worlds."

The Art of the Prop

We started Camila’s session with some classic, curated prop sets. Using a palette of creamy neutrals and soft blushes, we tucked her into delicate wraps and tiny baskets. These posed shots are the ones that become timeless heirlooms—capturing the perfect curl of a newborn and those tiny, sleeping features that change so quickly. Camila was a total pro, snoozing soundly through every transition!

Unscripted & Real: Lifestyle Poses

While I love a perfectly posed set, my heart always beats a little faster for the lifestyle portion of the session. These are the "unscripted" moments where I step back and simply watch the new family interact.

Seeing Camilla’s parents hold her, kiss her forehead, and simply stare in awe at their new addition provides a beautiful contrast to the posed portraits. These lifestyle shots capture the feeling of those first few days—the softness, the scent, and the overwhelming love that fills the room.

Why This Mix Works

By combining both styles, Camilla’s family walked away with a gallery that is both artistic and deeply personal. They have the "perfect" portrait for the birth announcement, and the "emotional" portraits that show exactly how small she felt in their arms.
